Sam Dameshek has become one of LA's best known and highly desired photographers, shooting for a seemingly never ending rolodex of A-list celebrities and global brands. The young talent has carved out a distinctive style, capturing the likes of Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Miley Cyrus and countless others.
Raised in Southern California, Sam got his start in photography by making skate videos with his friends for fun and cold emailing brands. Over time, the realization that he loved photographing humans began to consume him and he embraced the exposure that new platforms like Instagram offered him. Before finishing high school, Dameshek's efforts paid off and he was given the opportunity to travel the world as a photographer. The trip opened so many doors that he opted to finish his high school education online.
At just 18 years old, Dameshek moved to Los Angeles to pursue his passion full time.
In this episode of Through My Lens, Sam Dameshek describes his career path and where he's headed. We also got a behind the scenes look as he shot the editorial photoshoot for Zig-Zag Studio's 1879 Collection in Los Angeles.
Through My Lens is a story telling video series focused on sharing the stories of creative people and how they made it, with the goal of inspiring the next generation of unique creators.
